A Special Thank You___________________________________
Fr.Tom is overwhelmed by the outpouring of well wishes and love for his 65th Birthday. The smile you put on his face is endless.
It is with sincere appreciation that Fr.Tom, John Danzi, the Chairman of the Thomas Hartman Foundation and I thank you for continuing this journey to improve the quality of life and potentially lead to a cure for Parkinson’s disease.
We have exciting news to share with you. In coordination with our affiliation with The Feinstein Institute for Medical Research, WLIW21 and WNET13 will be producing a one hour documentary to air nationally on Parkinson’s disease. This documentary will show the Human Interest Story with Fr.Tom coping with Parkinson’s disease as well as the educational, scientific research message of hope.
In Scientific Research, it takes only that one critical dollar to find the cure or greatly improve quality of life for those suffering every day.
Our dedicated team of world renowned scientists and research grant recipients is led by Dr. David Eidelberg, Director of the Center for Neurosciences at The Feinstein Institute for Medical Research and a Udall Center Grant Recipient for Excellence in Parkinson’s Disease Research. They are on the battlefield to bring direct help for the people who need it the most.
On June 21st, 2011 we were together not only for Fr.Tom, but also the more than 8 million people who are afflicted with Parkinson’s disease.
We are optimistic, hopeful, and full of promise that Parkinson’s disease will be a disease of the past. Our deepest thanks to all of you. We would like to thank our honorees, Michael P. Fishman, John R. Buran and Carol Lenz, our Dinner Chairman, Joe Collins, our Scientific Board, the Thomas Hartman Foundation Board of Directors, our dedicated staff, our auction team and our volunteers. Their tireless efforts are what made the dinner such a success and a wonderful event.
Warm regards,
John Danzi Kathy Scarpinella
